Movies are rated for exhibition in Australia by the Australian Government Classification website. Their website is at www.classification.gov.au/ The classifications for films and computer games are G, PG, M, MA 15+, R 18+, X 18+ and RC (Refused Classification). Computer games cannot be classified R 18+ or X 18+. The advisory classifications are (G, PG and M) and the legally restricted classifications are MA 15+, R 18+ and X 18+. The G, PG and M classifications are advisory. There are no laws restricting viewing, buying, playing or selling these films or computer games. However, it is recommended that you use the classification information to help you choose a film or computer game. The classification wording will help you decide on the level of supervision or guidance you may wish to provide to young teenagers and children. The legally restricted classifications are identified by a black .RESTRICTED. bar beneath the classification symbol. The number and plus sign that form part of the classification indicate the ages of people who are not subject to restrictions. For example, R 18+ means people aged 18 and over are not restricted from seeing, buying, hiring or playing the film or game, but people aged under 18 are.
	These films and computer games are for general viewing. However, G does not conclusively mean a children's film or game because many of these productions contain content that would be of no interest to children. The content is very mild.

	People under 18 cannot see these films in the cinema or buy or hire them. This classification applies only to films. High impact content.
	People under 18 cannot buy or hire these videos and DVDs. This classification applies to films that contain only sexually explicit content.
